Do you have a Spotify plan with multiple accounts, but some slots remain unused? You can list them on Spliiit so that other users can help cover the subscription cost.
Sharing is done via an invitation: each co-subscriber joins the plan from their own Spotify account and keeps their playlists, listening history, and recommendations. So you don't need to share your password. 🎧
Which Spotify subscriptions can be shared on Spliiit ?
Only plans that include multiple accounts allow you to add users. An individual subscription cannot be converted into a shared plan simply by adding multiple devices.
- Plan|Available Seats|Access|Usage on Spliiit
- Free Spotify | None | Single account | Cannot be shared
- Premium Personal | None | Single Account | Not Shareable
- Premium for Students | None | Single Account | Not Shareable
- Premium Duo | 1 additional seat in addition to the one at Owner| Invitation | Can be shared, subject to eligibility
- Owner|Up to 5 additional seats in addition to the seat |Invitation|Sharing allowed, subject to eligibility
Before offering your subscription, check its name in your Spotify account settings. The plan selected on Spliiit must match exactly the one you're paying for.
Spotify also requires that users of its Duo and Family plans live at the same address. This rule applies when sharing a subscription: the information provided at the time of the invitation must be accurate.
How do I offer my Spotify subscription on Spliiit ?
1. Check the number of available seats
Log in to your Spotify account from a web browser, then go to the section about your subscription. Check how many members are already included and how many spots are still available.
Never offer more seats than are actually available. Also, be sure to save a seat for yourself.
2. Create your listing on Spliiit
Go to the page where you can suggest a subscription at Spliiit, then:
- Search for Spotify in the list of services
- Select your exact plan
- Please specify the number of seats you would like to offer
- Choose between public or private sharing
- Check the information before creating the offer
With a public share, the seats appear on the Marketplace, and interested users can send a request. A private share is appropriate when you already know who should join the subscription.
3. Review the co-subscriber's request
When a user wants to sign up for your offer, their request will appear in your account at Spliiit. Verify that the requested plan matches the available spot, then accept the request if everything is correct.
The co-subscriber can then provide the email address associated with their Spotify account. You'll need this information to send them an invitation.
4. Send the invitation from Spotify
Go back to your Spotify account and open Member Management:
- Go to the " Manage Members" section
- Select an available seat
- Create a new invitation
- Copy the link provided by Spotify
- Send it to the other person in your conversation Spliiit
- Wait for confirmation of his arrival

5. Verify that access is working
Once the invitation is accepted, the new member should appear in your Spotify admin dashboard. You can ask them to verify that Premium is enabled on their account.
If you can't access the site, first check the conversation at Spliiit to make sure you used the correct link and email address.
How do I sign up for Spotify Premium on Spliiit ?
If you'd like to become a co-subscriber, start by searching for Spotify on the marketplace at Spliiit. The available offers and the number of spots vary depending on the owners' availability.
1. Use your personal Spotify account
You can join the sharing feature with a Spotify account you already have, even if you're currently using the free version.
This account saves your playlists, favorites, artists you follow, and your history. It will automatically upgrade to Premium once the invitation is confirmed.
If you don't have a Spotify account, create one before continuing. Use an email address that you can easily access.
2. Provide your email address to the Owner
Once your request has been approved, enter the email address associated with your Spotify account in the space provided at Spliiit.
Only the Owner needs this information to send the invitation. The steps are detailed in the guide on how to obtain access to a subscription.
3. Accept the invitation
When you receive the link:
- Open the invitation sent by the Owner
- Sign in to your own Spotify account
- Check the email address displayed
- Accept the invitation
- Enter the information requested by Spotify
- Confirm your arrival in the subscription

Why does everyone keep their own account?
Spotify sharing works through invitations, not by sharing login credentials for Owner. This is one of its main advantages.
Each user retains:
- his email address
- his password
- his private or public playlists
- his recorded songs
- his listening history
- its recommendations
The musical tastes of other members therefore do not affect how you are treated or the suggestions you receive. You can also use Spotify on your own devices without logging into the Owner account.
Never ask for the Spotify password from Owner. It is not required to sign up for a multi-account plan.
What should you do if the Spotify invitation doesn't work?
A rejected link does not necessarily mean that the subscription is blocked. A few simple checks can usually help identify the source of the problem; we recommend that you first contact the subscription’ Owner , and then our customer service if necessary.
The link was opened with the wrong account
Sign out of Spotify, then open the invitation in an incognito window. Sign in with the account that is actually supposed to join the subscription.
Always check the email address before confirming.
The link has expired or has already been used
Ask the Owner to create a new invitation from their Spotify account. A link that has already been used by someone else can no longer be accepted.
The Owner must also verify that a spot is still available.
How do I replace or remove a co-subscriber?
Owner s can free up a spot through Spotify's member management feature. They select the relevant account, confirm its removal, and then create a new invitation for the next user.
Before replacing a member, let them know in the conversation at Spliiit. This prevents an unexpected disconnection and allows you to properly coordinate the end of their participation.
For co-subscribers, leaving Spotify does not automatically stop sharing tracking on Spliiit. You must also use the option to unsubscribe from the plan at Spliiit to stop contributing to the service fees.
What happens to the playlists after you leave?
Canceling a shared plan does not delete the co-subscriber's Spotify account. Their playlists, favorite songs, and listening history remain saved.
The account can revert to the free version once the Premium subscription ends. Offline listening will then no longer be available and ads will return, but the personal library will remain accessible.
The user may switch to a different plan at a later time, subject to the terms and restrictions on changes applied by Spotify.
Frequently Asked Questions About Sharing on Spotify with Spliiit
Can you share a Spotify Premium Personal account on Spliiit ?
No. Premium Personnel includes only one account. You must have a multi-account plan to offer a separate seat.
Should you share your Spotify password with your co-subscriber?
No. The Owner sends an invitation link, and each co-subscriber uses their own account. No password sharing is required.
Can my co-subscribers see my playlists?
Public playlists can be viewed just like on any Spotify profile. However, the accounts remain separate, and members do not have access to your private playlists, your password, or your personal settings.
Can you keep an old Spotify account?
Yes. It's actually better to use your usual account so you can keep your playlists, history, and recommendations.
How many seats can we offer?
Premium Duo includes one additional seat in addition to the one in the " Owner." Premium Family can include up to five additional seats, depending on the number of members already present.
Who sends the Spotify invitation?
This is the subscription web Owner . Spliiit makes it easy to connect with others and manage participation, but the invitation is created through Spotify.
Is it okay to switch Spotify playlists regularly?
Spotify restricts switches between certain multi-account plans. Be sure to check your eligibility before signing up for a plan and avoid switching groups too frequently.
