Who is Omar Sy?
Born on January 20, 1978, in Trappes, Omar Sy first made a name for himself on the radio and then on television, notably alongside Fred Testot. His career took on a new dimension with *The Intouchables*, released in 2011.
For his portrayal of Driss, he won the César Award for Best Actor in 2012. He went on to pursue a career in France and internationally with films such as *Samba*, *Jurassic World*, *X-Men: Days of Future Past*, and *Tirailleurs*. In the third part, Assane tries to protect Claire and Raoul while he’s still on the run. He must face new adversaries and tries to build a new life far from his past troubles. But it was the final episode, in particular, that reignited speculation about a possible sequel.

Warning: Spoilers for the Season 3 finale… Assaneultimately decides to turn himself in to the police. His main goals are to protect his family and put an end to his life on the run.
Once in prison, however, he receives a message that is surprising, to say the least. His cellmate is none other than Hubert Pellegrini, his former enemy. Pellegrini sends him a photograph of Assane as a child, holding the novel *La Cagliostro se venge*.

Fun Fact: The Real Heist
Filming for Season 3 of *Lupin* was interrupted by… a real-life heist! In February 2022, about 20 hooded individuals stormed the set in Nanterre, setting off fireworks. They stole approximately €300,000 worth of equipment. Fortunately, no crew members—including Omar Sy—were injured.
