How to share your 1Password subscription on Spliiit?

1Password is a password (and sensitive data) manager that helps secure your online life: logins, cards, notes, shared access, and more. The big advantage is that you can store everything in vaults and share only what you need to, in complete security.

1Password has a sharing mode designed for multiple people: 1Password Families. Passwords are not shared; the owner invites members and everyone keeps their own 1Password account (with their Secret Key and password).

1Password: Which plans can be shared on Spliiit?

On Spliiit, you can offer 1Password as an owner under two offers:

• Families Monthly — up to 5 users max
• Families Annual — up to 5 users max

Owner: suggest sharing 1Password on Spliiit

1) Set up your 1Password account

1. Ensure you have an active 1Password Families subscription.

2) Post the offer on Spliiit

1. On Spliiit, go to "Propose."
2. Choose 1Password
3. Select Families Monthly or Families Annual
4. Indicate the number of available seats 
5. Publish the offer publicly to receive requests

ℹ️ You can also share privately 🔐: invite only your friends and family.

3) Invite your co-subscribers to 1Password (without a password)

You can invite people from the 1Password app or from 1Password.com:

Option A — From the 1Password app

1. Select your account/collection → Manage Accounts
2. Select the account → People → Invite People
3. Enter the email addresses of the people you want to invite → Invite

Option B — From 1Password.com

1. In the sidebar, go to Invitations.
2. Select Invite by Email and enter the email address.
3. Click on Prompt

✅ Once the member has created their account, you will need to confirm their addition (via Invitations/People).

Co-subscriber: join a 1Password plan

1. On Spliiit, search for 1Password (🔎) on the marketplace.
2. Join an offer and make the payment
3. Send the ownerthe email address you wish to use
4. Open the 1Password invitation and follow the steps.
5. You create your account with your Secret Key and password, then log in on your devices 🔑

ℹ️ If no offers are available:

• Activate the alert to be notified as soon as a spot becomes available.
• or create your offer as a homeowner

✅ It works if...

• The owner invites you via Invitations / Invite People
• You accept the invitation before it expires (5 days).
• The owner confirms your account after creation.

❌ It doesn't work if...

• The invitation has expired (5 days)
• The owner did not confirm the addition after the account was created.

🛠️ If it's stuck, try...

1. Resend the invitation (possible at any time)
2. Check Spam / Promotions / Junk Mail
3. Log out/log back in, or test from 1Password.com instead of the app (or vice versa)
