How do I share my YNAB subscription?

So you use Spliiit to share your YNAB account? 

In this article, we’ll share some best practices to help ensure everything goes smoothly.

Owner, how to invite members to a group

You can invite up to five additional members to join your YNAB Together group! They can be new or existing YNAB users.

1. Click on your budget name in the top-left corner of YNAB.
2. SelectYNAB Togetherfrom the drop-down menu.
3. If this is your first time using YNAB Together, tap the "Get Started"button.Thenenteryour name and tap "Next."
4. If this isn't your first time, click "Invite a member."
5. Follow the prompts to enter your guests' details:
   Their first name.
   Their email address.
   What amounts you'd like to share with them.
6. Click "Invite" to send them an invitation!

How to decline an invitation

If you realize you've made a typo in an email address, or if you want to cancel an invitation for any reason, here's what to do!

1. Select the names of the guests under "Pending Invitations."
2. Select "Cancel Invitation." (You may need to scroll down.)

Here's how to resend an invitation in case your guest deleted the invitation email or didn't receive it:

1. Select the names of the guests under "Pending Invitations."
2. Select "Resend Invitation." (You may need to scroll down.)

How to remove a member from a group

If a member is removed from the group, any budgets they own will remain in their individual user account. The group administrator will lose access to those budgets, and the user will also lose access to any budgets shared with them by other group members.

When a member is removed from the group, they willautomaticallybegin their own 34-day free trial using the same email address.

1. Click on your budget name in the top-left corner of YNAB.
2. SelectYNAB Togetherfrom the drop-down menu.
3. Select the member's name from theMemberslist.
4. Select "Remove Member".

If you're a new YNAB user

First of all, welcome to YNAB! To join the YNAB Together group, you’ll need to create an account first. Here are a few things to keep in mind as you begin your YNAB journey:

1. The group leader will handle the billing, so you won't have to pay anything (woohoo!)
2. Any budgets you create will always be shared with the group administrator. However, you can choose to share (or not share) any of your budgets with other group members.
   

If you're an existing YNAB user

Get ready to take your YNAB experience to the next level! With YNAB Together, your group manager handles the billing, so you now have one less subscription to worry about.

1. If you subscribed directly through YNAB, we will automatically cancel your subscription. If you have an annual subscription, we will issue a pro-rated refund via your original payment method. If you have a monthly subscription, no pro-rated refund is available, but we will cancel the subscription for you.
2. If you subscribed through the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store, please contact the support team from within the app to discuss your options. 
3. If you have a gift subscription, an academic yearsubscription,ora 34-day free trial, youwill lose any remaining time when you join a YNAB Together group.

How to leave a group

2. Select "AccountSettings" from the drop-down menu.
3. Under the "Subscription" section, select "Leave the group."
