Co-subscriber, how to join a group
If you are a new YNAB user
First of all, welcome to YNAB! To join the YNAB Together group, you must first create an account. A few things to keep in mind as you begin your YNAB journey:
- The group leader will take care of billing, so you won't have to pay a thing (woohoo!).
- All budgets you create will always be shared with the group manager. However, you can choose to share (or not to share) any of your budgets with other group members.
If you are an existing YNAB user
Get ready to enhance your YNAB experience! With YNAB Together, your group manager takes care of billing, so now you have one less subscription to worry about.
- If you subscribed directly via YNAB, we will automatically cancel your subscription. If you have an annual subscription, we will refund you on a pro rata basis according to your original payment method. If you have a monthly subscription, no prorated refund is available, but we will cancel the subscription for you.
- If you have subscribed via the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, please contact the support team from within the app to discuss your options.
- If you have a gift subscription, an academic year or a 34-day free trial, you'll lose any remaining time when you join a YNAB Together group.
How to leave a group
If a member leaves a group, any budgets he or she owns will remain with his or her individual user account. The group manager will lose access to his/her budgets, and the user will also lose access to any budgets shared with him/her by other group members.
- Click on the name of your budget in the top left-hand corner of YNAB.
- Select Account settings from the drop-down menu.
