How to share your UniversCiné subscription on Spliiit?
UniversCiné is a cinema-focused VOD/SVOD platform (lots of indie films, arthouse films, and hidden gems to catch up on). With a subscription, you get access to a selection of over 700 films, available to stream and watch offline, with the option to watch on three screens simultaneously.
On Spliiit, UniversCiné is shared using the owner's login details: they enter their email address and password in the Spliiit vault, and co-subscribers log in using these details. We recommend using a dedicated password for sharing.

- On Spliiit, go to "Propose."
- Choose UniversCiné
- Select the plan (1 month or 1 year)
- Indicate the number of seats (up to 3)
- Add the credentials to the Spliiit vault
- Publish as public sharing to receive requests

- On Spliiit, open the marketplace (🔎) and search for UniversCiné
- Joinan offer and make the payment
- In your Spliiit dashboard, open the service page and retrieve the credentials (vault).

- Start streaming a movie... or download it to watch offline 🎬

- Activate the alert to be notified as soon as a spot becomes available.

✅ It works if...
- There can be a maximum of 3 people sharing.
- The credentials in the Spliiit vault are up to date.
- The owner keeps the subscription active.
❌ It doesn't work if...
- You are trying to watch with 4 people (limit reached)
- The owner changed the password without updating it on Spliiit.
- A device remains connected in "read" mode and takes up space without you seeing it.
- You are using an incorrect username/password or have copied it incorrectly.
🛠️ If it's stuck, try...
- Logging out/logging back in on UniversCiné
- Re-copy the password from the vault (be careful with spaces)
- Ensure that you do not exceed three screens at the same time (close the app on another device).
- Close the app/browser and restart it (this is often sufficient).
- Update the app, then retest
