How do I share my L’Indépendant subscription on Spliiit

L’Indépendant is a local and regional news outlet: continuous updates, coverage of news in your area, and access to the digital edition (depending on your subscription plan). It’s convenient if you want to read on your phone, at work, or while commuting, without being tied to a single device.

The Family Digital Plan is designed to be shared: here, you don’t share a password. The Owner invites their family members, and everyone keeps their own account.

Owner Share *L’Indépendant* on Spliiit

1) Set up your subscription

1. Make sure you have Numérique Famille activated.

2) Post the offer on Spliiit

1. On Spliiit, go to "Propose."
2. Choose L’Indépendant
3. Select Digital Family
4. Please specify the number of seats (up to 4 in total)
5. Publish the offer publicly to receive requests

ℹ️ You can also share privately 🔐: invite only your friends and family.

3) Invite your beneficiaries to L’Indépendant (invitation)

1. Log in to the L’Indépendant website using your subscriber account
2. Go to My Account
3. Open the " My Subscriptions" tab
4. Look for the " Beneficiaries" section
5. Click " Add a beneficiary"
6. Enter your first name, last name, and email address
7. Confirm: The co-subscriber will receive an email to activate their access

Co-subscriber: Sign up for an L’Indépendant subscription

1. On Spliiit, search for L’Indépendant (🔎) on the marketplace
2. Join an offer and make the payment
3. Send the following to Owner First Name + Last Name + email address (the one you will use for activation)
4. Open the email you received and click " Activate"
5. Enjoy your subscription 🙂

ℹ️ If no offers are available:

• Activate the alert to be notified as soon as a spot becomes available.
• or create your offer as Owner

✅ It works if...

• You are on the Family Digital plan (not the Solo plan)
• The Owner the correct email address

❌ It doesn't work if...

• The invitation was sent to the wrong email address 
• The email was received but never activated 
• The co-subscriber is trying to activate their account using an email address other than the one provided

🛠️ If it's stuck, try...

1. Check your spam folder / “Promotions” tab
2. Ask the Owner resend the invitation 
3. Sign out and sign back in, then try activating it again
4. Try enabling it in a different browser (or in incognito mode)
