How to share your Chess.com subscription on Spliiit

Chess.com is a platform for playing chess online and improving your game (game analysis, puzzles, lessons, etc.), and with the Family plan, everyone gets Diamond status.

Chess.com has a sharing mode designed for multiple people: the Friends & Family Plan. Passwords are not shared: the plan owner sends invitations and each co-subscriber keeps their own Chess.com account (profile, history, stats, etc.).

Best practices for sharing Chess.com in 30 seconds

✅ Yourco-subscribers must not already be Premium members (otherwise they cannot be added as secondary members).

✅ Let them know there is a time limit: the invitation expires after 72 hours (if necessary, send another one).

Owner suggest sharing Chess.com on Spliiit

1) Set up your Chess.com account

1. Make sure you have (or sign up for) the Friends & Family Plan (online).

2) Post the offer on Spliiit

1. On Spliiit, go to "Propose."
2. Choose Chess.com
3. Select Friends & Family (Annual)
4. Indicate the number of available seats (up to 5 seats to share)
5. Publish the offer publicly to receive requests

ℹ️ You can also share privately 🔐: invite only your friends and family.

3) Invite your fellow subscribers to Chess.com

1. On Chess.com, go to Settings → Subscription/Payment
2. Click on "Add a member."
3. You can either enter the member's email address or username to add them, or you can "Copy the link" and send them the invitation in the form of a link.

Co-subscriber: join a Chess.com offer

1. On Spliiit, search for Chess.com (🔎) on the marketplace. 
2. Join an offer and make the payment
3. Send the Owner your email address (or your chess.com username ).
4. Open the invitation (email or link) and follow the steps to accept
5. Once accepted: your account becomes Diamond ✅

ℹ️ If no offers are available:

• Activate the alert to be notified as soon as a spot becomes available.
• or create your offer as Owner

✅ It works if...

• You are on the Friends & Family Plan (annual).
• The Owner invites Owner with the correct email/username (or the correct link).
• You accept the invitation within 72 hours.
• You are not already a Premium member

❌ It doesn't work if...

• You are trying to add a member who is already a Premium member.
• All 6 places are already taken.
• The invitation has expired (72 hours)

🛠️ If it's stuck, try...

1. Resend an invitation (if the old one has expired) or generate a new link.
2. Log out/log back in, then restart the app (or try using private browsing).
