How do I share my Apple One subscription?

Apple One can be shared on Spliiit via invitation, thanks to Apple Family Sharing: each co-subscriber uses their own Apple account (Apple ID) and gains access to the services included in the package. No sharing of login details is necessary.

⚠️ Important: Before adding co-subscribers, make sure that Purchase Sharing is turned off if you don't want App Store purchases to be billed to the owner.

Apple One bundles several Apple services into a single subscription that can be shared with up to 5 other people.

Best practices for sharing Apple One in 30 seconds

✅ Choose the right plan: Family 200 GB or Premium 2 TB (6 users max).
✅ Each co-subscriber must have an active Apple ID (Apple account).
Disable "Purchase Sharing" if you don't want to share purchases.
✅ Keep in mind: only one family at a time + one family change per year.
✅ The package's iCloud storage (200 GB/2 TB) is shared among members: everyone keeps their files private, but the total capacity is shared.

What to check before creating the share (important)

On Spliiit, you have:

  • Family 200 GB | 6 users max
  • Premium 2 TB | 6 users max

Sharing is done by invitation: each member must use their own Apple ID.
This allows everyone to have their own playlists, backups, iCloud data, etc.

Step 1 — Set up Family Sharing (Apple side)

Before inviting someone, your co-subscriber must provide you withthe email address associated with their Apple ID. If they do not have one, they will need to create one.

From iPhone/iPad:

  1. Settingsyour nameFamily (or "Family Sharing")
  2. Add a member
  3. Invite via email (or messages, depending on the option offered)
  4. Enter the Apple ID email address of the co-subscriber and send the invitation.

From a Mac:

  1. System Settings
  2. Your nameFamily
  3. Add a member (often “+”)
  4. Enter the Apple ID email address and send the invitation.

⚠️ Remember to check:

  • that subscriptions are properly shared in Family settings
  • Shared purchases is disabled if you do not want to share purchases.

Step 2 — Post the offer on Spliiit

  1. On Spliiit, go to Suggest
  2. Choose Apple One
  3. Select the plan (Family 200 GB or Premium 2 TB) + the number of available seats
  4. Publish as public sharing to receive requests

Co-subscriber: how to join an Apple One share

  1. On Spliiit, open the marketplace (🔎) and search for Apple One
  2. Join an offer and make the payment
  3. Provide the ownerwith your Apple ID email address.
  4. Accept the Family Sharing invitation received via message/email
  5. Once accepted, you will regain access to the Apple One services included in the package (depending on the plan).

ℹ️ If no offers are available:

  • Activate the alert to be notified as soon as a spot becomes available.
  • or create your offer as a homeowner

🔒 Security & best practices (to be applied from the outset)

  • No login details to share: everything is done by invitation, everyone keeps their Apple ID
  • Share purchases: disable this if you do not want to share purchases
  • iCloud storage: 200 GB / 2 TB = shared capacity. If there are several of you, keep an eye on the space (it fills up quickly!).
  • Apple rule: only one family at a time + limited to one change per year
  • If a service does not activate: verify that the invitation has been accepted, then restart the relevant app (Music/TV/Arcade/Fitness) or log back in to your Apple ID.
