How to share your Apple Music subscription on Spliiit?

The Apple Music (Family) subscription can be shared on Spliiit via invitation, thanks to Apple Family Sharing. Each co-subscriber keeps their own Apple account: no sharing of login details is necessary.

⚠️ Important: before you begin, make sure that purchase sharing is disabled (this will prevent any unpleasant surprises).

Apple Music provides access to streaming music (online and offline listening), with playlists, albums, radio stations, and more. Each user can save their preferences, listening history, and playlists to their profile.

Best practices for sharing Apple Music in 30 seconds

✅ Make sure you have the Family plan (this is the one that allows sharing).
✅ Each co-subscriber must have their own Apple ID.

✅ Remember to check the Purchase Sharing setting (disable it if you don't want to share your purchases).

Step 1 — Prepare your Family Sharing

• Ensure you have an active Apple Music Family subscription.
• Make sure that purchase sharing is disabled if you do not want to share your purchases.
• Collect the email address/Apple ID of co-subscribers (if they don't have one, they will need to create an Apple ID).

Step 2 — Post the offer on Spliiit

• On Spliiit, go to "Propose."
• Choose Apple Music
• Select the Familyoffer
• Indicate the number of available seats (up to 6)
• Publish as public sharing to receive requests

Step 3 — Send invitations (Apple Family Sharing)

From iPhone/iPad:

• Settings → [your name] → Family Sharing
• Tap Add Member
• Invite via Message or email

• Menu  → System Settings (or System Preferences) → Family Sharing‍
• Click Add (+)
• Enter the email address/Apple ID of the co-subscriber and send the invitation.

• On Spliiit, open the marketplace (🔎) and search for Apple Music‍
• Join an offer and make the payment
• Send the owner the email address/Apple ID to invite.
• Accept the invitation you received (via text message or email) and follow the steps.
• Once added, open Apple Music: you can now enjoy your subscription.

✅ Your playlists, listening history, and recommendations remain private on your Apple account.
