Netflix has officially changed the rules for sharing its subscriptions in Canada. More than just a rate increase, this update offers many benefits and will make sharing your Netflix account easier than ever.

I am an owner

💡 I only pay the "extra member" fee when I first get a co-subscriber on Spliiit. If I currently have 3 co-subscribers on my split, the last one in will automatically be removed.

I am a co-subscriber

  • ➜ I have my own Netflix account
  • ➜ For CA$ 13.44/month, I have access to the entire 4K catalog, spatial audio, downloads and the Netflix game catalog 🤑
  • ➜ I can easily transfer my existing profile with my recommendations and history, to my new Netflix account.

💡 The number of people who can share a Netflix Premium is reduced from 4 to 3. The latest co-subscriber might be removed, in order to comply with Netflix's new terms and conditions.

How do I update my Netflix on Spliiit?

I am an owner

The feature “update the split” is already available on your Spliiit account.

  • 1️⃣ When logging in to your owner account, you will get an information message: click on Next, then on Confirm.
  • 2️⃣ The split will be updated automatically. Co-subscribers will switch to the new price on their next due date.
  • 3️⃣ If you have 3 co-subscribers, the last one will be removed from your share.
  • 4️⃣ Now all you have to do is invite your co-subscribers, by inserting the email address they will give you. From your Netflix account, you will easily find the option "Add an extra member".

⛔ I share a Netflix account from a third-party offer (phone operator,...), what should I do now on Spliiit?

  • ➜ Do not perform the "split update" on Spliiit. Your split is currently in "private" status and is fated to disappear.
  • ➜ In fact, only subscriptions subscribed directly on the Netflix website can be shared now.
  • ➜ You can, of course, create a new Netflix split: here's the tutorial !

I am a co-subscriber

  • 1️⃣ Wait for the invitation from your owner.
  • 2️⃣ Create your "extra member" sub-account from the invitation link received, following the steps.
